Q: What is your wedding style?
A: I love being able to wear three hats (professional, personal, passionate artist), swapping them out when the need arises. Using grace and courtesy, I aim to start professionally, earn trust personally, and then quietly unleash the artist within. Seeking good story components, I tend to start my weddings chasing beautiful details and big, establishing images, moving into the photography of people slowly. There, I tend to keep an unassuming, documentary, “fly on the wall” approach until after the ceremony. When crafting group portraits, the historian in me aims for beautiful light, a relaxed look, and several authentic perspectives of each grouping. For the remainder of my approach, I try not to pose subjects, but instead anticipate and react. Romantic portraits with me are experiential and moment evoking. Most of my focus is without the subject looking at the camera.
Q: What edits do you provide?
A: Subtle, whole-image corrections and enhancements are made to all images. I deliver the full-sized, massive resolution JPEG files along with a personal printing release for you to print poster-sized enlargements of them at your place of choice.

Q: How long have you been in the business?
A: 2017 will be my ninth year, and I’ve seen over 200 first kisses. I’ve been licensed, insured, a member of professional organizations and continually educating myself throughout this time.
Q: How soon will I see my photos?
A: Within a month. During weddings, I take plenty of photographs and come away with thousands of images. I put about 75% of the investment into thoughtful culling, color correction, and gentle enhancements that make the delivered collection a very special keepsake. Q: Tell me about your customer service.
A: I want to be a superhero, one couple at a time. I want your wedding to excel and will provide you with the tools to plan for the best experience. I answer phone calls quickly and return most emails within 24 hours. By accepting no more than 25 weddings per year, I can maintain the high caliber of service for which I’m known. Q: How would you handle ________?
A: I’ve seen dresses rip, rings forgotten, outdoor weddings dumped on by surprise thunderstorms. I carry a second camera in case of malfunction and carry an impressive toolkit that helps me MacGyver plenty. I am flexible, great with people, and quick to resolve obstacles. When we meet, go ahead and ask me a few hypotheticals to hear how I would handle them!
Q: What if you are in an emergency and cannot make the wedding?
A: I’m well aware of the drastic feelings that might come up if I am not there. Know I have got a very strong circle of photographers programmed into my phone in the event I am sick, stranded, or in an accident. I will send them only in an emergency, and I will eat the entire cost of your investment if you don’t like your images. For what it is worth, I haven’t missed a wedding yet I have photographed nearly 200.
Q: What equipment do you use?
A: The cameras I work with are Canon 5D Mark III. I normally wear two simultaneously. Oft-used lenses are the 50mm 1.2, 14mm 2.8, 100mm 2.8 macro, 24-70mm f2.8, and 70-200mm 2.8II, all from Canon. I use Canon 600 RT flashes and a few other whiz-bangs in my bag of tricks to make powerful images. I also keep backup cameras nearby.
Q: Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?
A: RAW. It takes up 10 times the memory in my cameras and storage, but gives me 10 times the power to manipulate the images to make them all the more bigger and beautiful. Be dubious of any other answer.
